Catherine Heffernan
ANALYST
For someone just out of college, Catherine has quite a background in the life sciences. She completed her premedical course requirements in college. She has also interned within the Research and Development team at a neuroscience-focused biopharmaceutical company for three summers. She worked in the preclinical lab of an oncology-focused biotech. And she conducted research on childhood obesity and social support with Dr. Callie Brown at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. In 2023, Catherine joined HELIO upon her graduation from Wake Forest University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a double minor in Chemistry and Entrepreneurship.
Catherine is a certified EMT in Massachusetts.
Catherine spent the last year of college volunteering in the Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
